Zelenka Litanies and Mass of St Francis Xavier
Newman College Choir and baroque orchestra directed by Gary Ekkel.  Using original scores, Jan Stockigt and Richard Divall have brought to light the originality and spectacular orchestration, including four trumpets, tympani and virtuosic wind solos, of this rediscovered Bohemian baroque composer much admired by JS Bach.

A free lunch time organ concert for the City of Melbourne exploring German organ music, including Mendelssohn (Sonata 1), Rheinberger (Sonata 8) and Essl (the Australian premier of his stunning Toccata in e published in 1988).

This spectacular charity event brings together some of Australia's most established and popular artists and personalities including Judith Durham and Keith Potger (ex Seekers), Kate Ceberano, Eskimo Joe, Basement Birds, Molly Meldrum, Wilbur Wilde, Geoff "Coxy" Cox, Swanee and more. David will perform the Final from Vierne's Symphony No. 1 in D minor Op. 14 and take part in the grand finale.

Sapientia is a program of hidden treasures from the Baroque Venice for soloists, choir and orchestra: Antonio Lotti's 'Wisdom' Mass-a mass so highly though of by J.S. Bach that he held a handcopied manuscript of the Mass in his personal library-and Vivaldi's neglected second Gloria, a work of joyous extroversion and intensity. Bridging the two main works is Lotti's Crucifixus, a stirring portrayal of Christ's crucifixion and burial ofr eight voices. Tickets: $35, $25 (conc.), $20 (students). Bookings: (03) 9347 5577

Final from Symphony No. 3 in F sharp minor (Louis Vierne) is included in a program of French choral music.
